What does Trushape do in-house?
Everything from design to dispatch: casting in six processes, CNC machining, heat treatment, surface finishing, testing and metrology, and 3D printing of patterns, all on one 100,000 sq ft site in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. Parts leave our gate finished, inspected and documented.
Why choose a single-source foundry?
Every handoff between suppliers adds transport, queues and another inspection. Keeping casting, machining, finishing and testing under one roof typically shortens lead times by 30 to 40%, keeps full traceability from melt to part, and gives you one purchase order, one quality system and one team accountable.
What CNC machining capabilities does Trushape have?
Eight CNC machines: two turning centres, four 3-axis VMCs and two 4-axis Makino VMCs, plus conventional lathes, drilling and milling. They finish bores, faces, threads and fits on our own castings, so parts arrive ready to assemble with no separate machining vendor.
What testing and inspection is done in-house?
The chemistry of every heat on Spectromaxx and Bruker spectrometers; tensile, hardness and impact testing; ultrasonic, dye penetrant, radiographic and magnetic particle testing; Zeiss CMM and Keyence VMM measurement; and conductivity and pressure testing. Material certificates follow EN 10204 3.1 as standard, 3.2 on request.
Which heat treatment and surface finishing processes do you offer?
Our furnaces handle solution annealing, normalising, quenching and tempering, stress relieving and case hardening by carburising or nitriding. Finishing covers sand, shot and glass bead blasting, media polishing, electropolishing and electroplating, to the hardness and surface on your drawing.
Does Trushape have 3D printing?
Yes. Our lab runs three FDM printers for multi-material work and two high-resolution SLA printers. They print sacrificial investment casting patterns without tooling, using burnout filaments we develop ourselves, and support reverse engineering and design checks.
How large is the Trushape facility, and where is it?
The site covers 100,000 sq ft, with a 40,000 sq ft production unit, on the Bhavnagar-Rajkot Highway at Shampara, Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India. It houses all six casting lines, the machine shop, heat treatment and finishing, the 3D printing lab and the testing laboratory, with more than 180 people.
Which casting processes run on site?
Six: investment casting, shell molding, no-bake sand casting, lost foam casting, gravity die casting and rapid manufacturing with 3D-printed patterns. Together they cover parts from 0.003 to 90 kg (0.1 oz to 198 lb) in more than 50 alloys.
Can you deliver finished, ready-to-assemble parts?
Yes. Castings are heat treated, machined, finished and tested before they leave, so you receive ready-to-assemble parts with their material certificate and dimensional report. One purchase order, one quality system and one shipment replace a chain of vendors.
Do you offer design and engineering support?
Yes. Our engineers work in 3D CAD, run casting simulation and use 3D scanning for reverse engineering. They review your design for castability, suggest the right alloy and process, and can merge welded or bolted assemblies into one casting before a mould is made.
Which certifications does the facility hold?
ISO 9001:2015 (TUV INDIA) for quality, ISO 14001:2015 (TUV NORD) for environment, ISO 45001:2018 (TUV NORD) for health and safety, and ISO 13485:2016 (DNV) for medical devices. We do not hold AS9100, IATF 16949, PED or ASME approvals, and work to your drawing and inspection plan.
Do you supply finished castings to the USA, Canada and Europe?
Yes. Trushape exports to Germany, the UK, Belgium, Denmark, Spain and Italy and serves buyers across North America and Europe, including the United States, Canada and Mexico. Parts ship by sea or air with English certificates and reports, and delivery terms are agreed per order.
